Photoshop Art & Maya Renders
On this page you'll find more pieces of original Photoshop art, as well as a few renders from the Maya program of a character that I made: Wally the Space Mime. Have fun! |
Looking Back
This pic was originally a stylized ink drawing of a face in an extreme close-up. The colors were later added in through Photoshop after scanning the image into it. And putting in water just for fun.

Ethereal Ripple
With this pic, I set out to create a realistic water ripple in Photoshop. I ended up with something more unique, which is the great thing about the program. You never know where you're going to end up. |

The Golden Lights of Broadway
This pic uses the same idea as the close-up of the face. It comes from a sketch that I had. I then scanned it into the computer, and added the colors and glows in Photoshop to give it a much more dynamic look. |
Fog on the Lake
Another pic that started out as a sketch. This was a drawing that was actually done several years ago while I was in art class in high school. It sat around for a while, then I eventually pulled it into Photoshop, as it needed some help. So I used the program to erase a distracting ladder from the sky (don't ask), added the colors, clouds, and reflections, and finally, gave it that snazzy unsettling fog. |

Shattered Glass
Simple enough. Worked on a picture until I got it looking like a broken mirror or glass. Bingo. |
Greeter
Photoshop image of Lady Liberty inspired by picture of replica takena at the New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas. |

Wally the Space Mime
This is an original character that I created in the Maya program. Photshop was used to touch it up and smooth out the render just a bit, but the vast majority of it is as-seen in Maya, even the glowing clothing. |
Wally Close-Up
This is a render of a close-up of Wally's face, allowing you to see the detail put into it, especially putting in the teeth and tongue, as well as the reflections of the eyes. |

Expressions of Wally
This is a render of various heads for Wally that I created in Maya. Doing multiple expressions allows you to blend them into each other when you animate the character, giving him that much more personality! |
Tribal Print
A handy tip for any artist: When you end up with something that looks like nothing in particular, call it tribal art. You'll be set. |

Lava
Simulating lava in Photoshop is NOT the easiest thing to do, but I'm happy with how this turned out. |
The Organ
The shape of this thing reminds me of an organ, hence the name. But this is more organic than mechanical, and far more colorful! |

Huh?
A confused, slightly abstract rhinocerous. If that just doesn't make good sense, I don't know what does. |
